PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material for laser recording capable of recording a transmission image of high sensitivity, high density and high image quality. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material for laser recording wherein a thermal recording layer containing a color former, a developer and a dye capable of converting laser beam to heat as essential components and further containing a sensitizer if necessary is provided on a support, the support is a transparent support and the volume average particle size of particles contained in the thermal recording layer is 2mum or less (pref., 0.15-0.60mum) and a bider is added to the thermal recording layer in an amount of 10-80% (pref., 30-60%) by wt. of the total solid of the thermal recording layer. |
