PURPOSE:To provide the vibration isolating device wherein large damping force can be obtained by a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:A resistance receiving part 32 protruded into a liquid chamber 24 is provided in an inner cylinder 12, and a deep groove 34, which serves as a contact area increasing surface cut into toward a direction of the inner cylinder 12 from a side of an outer cylinder 14, is formed in the resistance receiving part 32 to increase a surface area thereof. When vibration is input to the vibration isolating device 10, by relatively displacing the inner and outer cylinders 12, 14 in a direction of arrow mark A by the vibration, the resistance receiving part 32 is moved in a viscous unit 26 to generate friction resistance between the viscous unit 26 and a surface of the resistance receiving part 32, and this friction resistance serves as the damping force to absorb the vibration. In this vibration isolating device 10, since the surface area of the resistance receiving part 32 is increased by the deep groove 34, large damping force can be generated, and the vibration can be more effectively damped as compared with the conventional vibration isolating device. |
