PURPOSE:To obtain an uric acid excretion promotor containing a specific dihydropyridine derivative which has been known to be useful as an antihypertensive agent, peripheral and cerebral vasodilator, therapeutic agent for coronary artery, mild and long acting and reduced in side effects. CONSTITUTION:The objective uric acid excretion promotor contains a dihydroxypyridine derivative of formula I {R1 to R3 are alkyl, cycloalkyl or alkoxyalkyl; R4 and R5 are H, halogen, nitro, alkyl halide, alkylsulfonyl, halogenated alkoxy, alkylsulfynyl, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, etc.; X is vinylene or azomethine; A is alkylene; B is N (R6)(R7), formula II [R6 to R8 are H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, etc.; Ar is aryl or pyridyl; (n) is 0-2)]} or its acid addition salt as an active ingredient. An amount of uric acid in blood is lowered by promoting excretion of uric acid into urine. |
