PURPOSE:To carry out rippling for providing transparent and uneven pattern having excellent washing fastness by printing a printing paste consisting essentially of a urethane prepolymer blocked with a heat releasable blocking agent on a cotton woven fabric in a pattern form, heat-treating the cotton woven fabric and then subjecting its unprinted part to contract treatment with concentrated caustic soda. CONSTITUTION:A printing paste consisting essentially of a urethane prepolymer having an isocyanate group blocked with a heatreleasable blocking agent such as potassium hydrogensulfite and containing sodium hydrogen carbonate, an organotin based catalyst, a fluorine compound based water repellent and anhydrous sodium hydrogen sulfite is prepared. This printing paste is printed on a cotton woven fabric having 1:(0.95-0.98) ratio of warp density to weft density and 140-180/inch total numbers of warp and weft in a patterned form and the printed cotton woven fabric is heat-treated. Then, its unprinted part is subjected to contract treatment using caustic soda having a high concentration to provide a rippled product. |
