PURPOSE:To reduce a shock according to engaging a friction engaging element in the case of operating a select lever switched to a running range from a nonrunning range. CONSTITUTION:When a select lever is operated to be switched to a D range from an N range during stopping of a vehicle, fluid pressure control is started simultaneously with starting supply of fluid pressure. A change rate DELTANT of a turbine speed NT of a torque converter is obtained (step 102), and based on a deviation ERRN (step 103) from a change rate DELTANTTGT serving as a target, a current value I given to a proportional solenoid is determined (step 104) by PID control. In this way, the fluid pressure is controlled so as to be along the target change rate at the time of engaging the friction engaging element. |
