PURPOSE:To obtain a new substantially pure and physiologically active peptide having immunomodulating action represented by inhibitory action on intra cellular multiplication of toxoplasma, antitumor action, antimicrobial action and antiviral action. CONSTITUTION:A substantially pure and physiologically active peptide having an amino acid sequence selected from Gly-Glu, Pro-Val-Val, Glu-Pro-Val-Val, Glu-Glu-Pro-Val-Val, Ala-Glu-Glu-Pro-Val-Val and Gly-Ala-Glu-Glu-Pro-Val-VAI, a composition comprising two of more of these peptides and a composition comprising one or more of the above-mentioned peptides and one or more of substantially pure and physiologically active peptides having an amino acid sequence selected from Gly-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu, Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu, Asp-Asp- Asp-Asp-Asp and Ala-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu-Glu. |
