1313937 Lined plastics containers MONTECATINI EDISON SpA 4 Aug 1970 [4 Aug 1969] 37553/70 Heading B5A [Also in Division B8] A container is formed of a blend of at least 50% by wt. of a vinyl-chloride-based polymer and having a Vicat softening point greater than 85‹ C. and is lined at least inside by at least one layer of a vinylidene-chloride-based polymer, the vinyl-chloride-based polymer being polyvinyl chloride having a syndiotacticity index greater than 1-8 or a post-chlorination product thereof, a post-chlorination product of atactic vinyl chloride polymers or mixtures thereof. The container, which may be filled with a beverage and pasteurized, is produced by blowmoulding cut lengths of an extruded tube of the blend of vinyl-chloride-based polymer which has been coated on one or both sides, e.g. by dipping, with the vinylidene-chloride-based polymer.
