The appts., for use in a video signal processing sys. capable of mixing title information with a video signal, includes first selector selecting either title information supplied from a video signal supply circuit or title information reproduced from a recording medium. A memory stores the selected title information and a first mixer selectively mixes a video signal from the video signal supply circuit with title information output from the memory and supplies the mixed signal to a video signal recorder. A second mixer combines a signal reproduced from the recording medium with title information supplied from the memory, and a second selector outputs either mixer signal.
