PURPOSE:To prevent real double recording and to prevent the useless interruption of recording due to dust, etc., by repeating a monitor period and a recording period, interrupting recording in real double recording and continuing recording in pseudo double recording. CONSTITUTION:When a double recording signal is detected by a double recording detection circuit 202, the operation of a recording signal supplying circuit 203 is interrupted and the monitor period is selected. When a pit signal is detected by the detection circuit 202 in the monitor period, the interruption of the operation is continued by the supplying circuit 203. Further, when no pit signal is detected by the detection circuit 202 in the monitor period, the supply circuit 203 is operated to record information. Nevertheless, when the double recording signal is detected since dust, etc., is remained on a medium, the monitor period and the recording period are repeated and when a head passes through the part of dust, etc., and the double recording signal, as well does not occur, normal recording operation is continued. |
