PURPOSE: To provide a circuit for detecting the number of revolution of a servo motor, which outputs the output pulses of an encoder, dividing them into pulses suited to the operational frequency range of a position controller for controlling the servo motor and can be used, regardless of the kind of position controller. CONSTITUTION: A pulse multiplies the signal pulses outputted from an encoder, and a pulse dividing unit 2 divides the multiplied signal pulses outputted from the pulse-multiplying unit 1 by the quantity of dividing set in a microprocessor 4, and a pulse selecting unit selects one out of the signal pulses outputted from the pulse multiplying unit 1 and the pulse dividing unit 2. Then, a wave-shaping unit outputs a pair of signal pulses having the same phase difference as the signal pulses outputted from an encoder, and a control signal generating means outputs a control signal to a wave-shaping means 9. |
