<p>PURPOSE:To suppress clutter noise following K-distribution so as to detect a target in a fixed probability of erroneous alarming by estimating a parameter indicating distribution characteristics from the ratio of the square mean of received signals to the root of the biquadratic mean of the received signals and using a threshold obtained from the estimated result. CONSTITUTION:A square computing element 11 squares inputted 10 amplitude signals and a mean computing element 13 calculates the mean value of shifting stages except a shift register 100+N/2 and outputs the calculated mean value to parameter calculators 16 and 17. On the other hand, the mean value of roots of biquadrates of the amplitude signals calculated by means of a biquadrate computing means 12 is calculated 15 and outputted to the calculator 16 after calculating 14 the mean value of the biquadrates of the shifting stages except a shift register 200+N/2. The calculator 17 calculates a scale parameter C from the outputs of the element 13 and calculator 16 and a threshold computing element 19 outputs the threshold of the probability of erroneous alarming corresponding to the parameter C to a comparator 20 after extracting the threshold from a memory 18. Then the presence/absence of a target is detected by comparing 20 the amplitude signal of a shift register 300+N/2 outputted as a noticeable value with the threshold and the detected result is outputted 21.</p> |
