摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain the same reproducing picture quality even in the case of either forward or backward reproducing. CONSTITUTION:At the time of backward reproducing, regenerative signals from a rotary cylinder 112, which can be rotated forward and backward, are supplied through an FILO circuit 115 to a demodulation part 116 and data demodulated reversely to the order of trace. After the demodulated data are decoded with the variable length, they are returned to the time sequence at the time of normal reproducing by an MPX 121. The output of the MPX 121 is decoded by an inverse quantizing circuit 34 and an inverse DCT circuit 35 and supplied to a buffer 118. The buffer 118 is controlled by a time sequential control circuit 119 and at the time of backward reproducing, the data are transformed to the time sequence for obtaining backward regenerative images and outputted. Thus, the same regenerative picture quality can be obtained even in the case of either forward or backward reproducing.</p>
