PURPOSE:To simplify structure, facilitate manufacture, and reduce cost, by constituting a metal retaining part arranged from the peripheral part of a tape carrier package to the outside of four sides, and a fixing means for fixing the tape carrier package and the metal retaining part by clamping a plurality of portions of them. CONSTITUTION:A metal frame 41 is arranged outside four sides from the lower part of a test pad 23 of a TCP 11 wherein a lead pattern 22 or the like is formed. The TCP 11 and the metal frame 41 are fixed by claming them with fixing parts 42a-42d. That is, the metal frame 41 being a metal retainer whose central part is opened is arranged outside four sides from the lower position part of the test pad 23 on the peripheral part of the TCP 11. The four corners of the TCP 11 and the metal frame 41 are clamped and fixed with the fixing parts 42a-42d which are made of resin and constitute a fixing means. Thereby strain due to heat is prevented, structure is simplified, manufacture is facilitated, and cost is totally reduced. |
