When a carboxylic acid, etc., having a functional group vulnerable to the effect of an acid or a base, or a carbon atom-carbon atom double bond is used in esterification, the chemical change of the functional group, the transfer of the double bond or geometrical isomerization, etc., are prevented by using the catalyst and esters are produced in good yield. |
