PURPOSE:To enable irradiation with a large quantity of light over a wide irradiation range. CONSTITUTION:A light irradiation head 71 is formed by coating a rectangular plate type core 75 which is rectangularly sectioned with a clad 77 for the plate type core jacket and forming a flaw 81 reaching the plate type core 75 in its reverse surface. The projection end part of a bundle body 73 of optical fibers is connected to one flank, 75a of the plate type core 75 and a light source device is connected to its incidence end side. The plate type core 75 is formed of the same material with the cores of the optical fibers constituting the bundle 73 and the clad 77 for the plate type core jacket is formed of the same material with the clads of the optical fibers constituting the bundle body 73. Light which is propagated by the optical fibers of the bundle body 73 and enters the plate type core is irregularly reflected by the flaw 81 and emitted from the opposite surface where the flaw is not formed. |
