PURPOSE:To simply and quickly select and return target character or character- string information whose return is desired from in deleted character or character-string information. CONSTITUTION:When a character deletion key is inputted from a keyboard 4 by an operator, a CPU 1 deletes the character concerned from a document buffer in a RAM 3, and also, writes this deleted character in a scrap buffer in the RAM 3. Thereafter, when a deletion return command for the character is inputted from the keyboard 4, the CPU 1 displays in a lamp all the deleted characters in the scrap buffer on a display device 6, and urges the operator to select a return character. As a result, when the return character is selected, the CPU 1 reads out the character concerned from the scrap buffer, and writes it in the designated part in the document buffer. Thereafter, the CPU 1 reads out document containing the designated part in the document buffer, and displays it on the display device 6, by which the return character is inserted into the designated part in the document and returned. |
