PURPOSE:To provide an optical fiber communication equipment incorporating a terminator function to automatically return an optical signal based on the connecting state of an optical fiber connector provided on the middle way of the transmission line of the optical signal. CONSTITUTION:This optical fiber communication equipment receives the optical signal from the outside with light receiving parts 8a, 8b and demodulates it to an electric signal, and sends out the optical signal from light transmission parts 7a, 7b to the outside after modulating the electric signal to the optical signal again, and it is provided with input terminals 1a, 1b to which the optical signal from the outside is inputted and output terminals 2a, 2b from which the optical signal is outputted to the outside, and an optical transmission line is connected when external terminals 14a, 14b, 16a, and 16b are mounted on the input terminals ad the output terminals, respectively, and the optical transmission line which connects the input terminals to the light receiving parts is connected to the optical transmission line which connects the output terminals to the light transmission parts via optical prisms 12a, 12b when they are dismounted. |
