PURPOSE:To adjust the deviation of synchronism in the case that a moving image is delayed behind a sound at the time of expanding the compressed moving image and to harmonize the moving image and the sound with each other by providing with a deviation of synchronism adjusting means to reject a one- frame portion starting from a succeeding frame at the point of time of the detection of the delay of the frame if a deviation of synchronism detecting means detects the frame delay of the positive integer frames behind the sound. CONSTITUTION:In the case that the transmission request of the succeeding frame arrives from a moving image decoding part 15 within TC seconds, a CPU 11 adds +1 to a picture frame counter (m),and sends a picture (m) to the moving image decoding part 15 from a main memory (MM) 12. On the other hand, in the case that TC seconds elapse after sending a sound block (n) to a sound decoding part 14, it adds +1 to a sound block counter S. Next, it executes the arithmetic operation of counter (s)-counter (m), and if this value is over K1, it decides that the picture frame is delayed behind the sound by K1 frames. Then, it rejects the picture of the portion of the frames corresponding to the delay from the MM 12. |
