A device for a protective shoe on a window has two slides (9) on the frame with a bar sliding in each & top parts of divider attached. The slides have caps (11) on their tops for receiving, on closing, the top end of the stop comprising a castor wheel or bushing (15) fixed to the top of the bar support (3). A shaft (17) about the length of stroke of the top end of the divider connects the bushing or castor wheel to the top of the stop cap (11). This shaft can slide freely in movement of the unit. USE/ADVANTAGES - Suitable for wide or heavy windows, protects moving parts preventing deterioration.
