PURPOSE:To save user's labor and to improve operability by eliminating dust on an objective lens automatically when the number of times of an operational error due to an optical head exceeds a setting value. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens writing, reading and erasing to a magneto- optical disk recording information is provided in the optical head 10. When error data is received by the operation of the read, etc., of the head 10, it is corrected and processing equal with that the error is not present is performed and the operation of the head 10 is continued by a correction circuit 11 by a prescribed system. The dust on the objective lens of the head 10 is eliminated by bringing the objective lens into contact with the cleaning member of a felt, a brush, etc., provided on the inside of the ceiling part of an actuator cover and vibrating it left and right by a cleaning means 12. Then, the cleaning operation is controlled by that a control circuit 13 outputs a signal so that the cleaning operation is executed by the means 12 when the number of times of the operational error of the head 10 detected by the error detection circuit 11 exceeds the setting value. |
