A device for a protective shoe on a window with lateral dividers (1) fitted on the frame (3) has slides (11) with caps (13) on their tops, which can receive stops, which themselves are fixed to project proud of a connecting rod (7) joined to the slide. The stops (15) and caps (13) are positioned to allow the cap to catch the stop when the handle moves towards the top of the dividers, and to allow the stop to slide in the cap up to or from a top position where the frame stops & is locked accurately.
