<p>Styryl dyes Cpds. of formula: (where R = a (substd.)alkyl, aryl or cycloalkyl gp.; R1 = H or a C1-C4 alkyl gp.; R2 = H or a C1-C4 alkyl gp.; or R1 and R2 together represent a tri, tetra or pentamethylene gp.; and X = CN or carboalkoxy gp. Pref., R1 = Me, R2 = H or R1 and R2 together are a tetra or trimethylene chain). Uses to dye cellulose, polyester, polyamide or acrylonitrile polymerisate textiles. Advantages are the yellow title cpds. show excellent fastness esp. towards heat and light.</p> |
