The easy-chair has a seat shell comprising a seat surface (2) and a backrest (3). The seat shell is interrupted in the region of the backrest by an essentially horizontal joint (4). The two parts of the seat shell thus formed are connected to each other in a resilient manner. Provided in the region of the separation joint (4) is a spiral spring (5) which is penetrated by a horizontal journal (8). The two ends of the journal (8) projecting beyond the spiral spring (5) are received by straps (9, 10) provided in pairs in each case. The straps (9) forming one pair are connected to the one part (3) and the other straps (10) forming a pair are connected to the other part (2) of the seat shell. The straps (9, 10) rest on parallel plastic webs (13) constructed integrally with the parts (2, 3) of the seat shell. The journals (11, 12, 14, 15) connecting the straps (9, 10) project into these webs (13). The laterally projecting ends (6, 7) of the spiral springs are supported on the journals (11, 15). <IMAGE> |
