The mirror has a pair of parallel shanks (11a, 11b) secured to a carrier arm (5) by a tightening arrangement (4). The elements in the arrangement have an elastic helical spring (27) with a given performed length which is positioned between a fixed stop (23) and the second shank (11b). A pin (17) is introduced through the shanks, which clamps the carrier are via two claw shaped components (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - Allows position of vehicle mirror to be readily adjusted and then held firm against vibration, without imposing undue load on carrier arm.
