The bar in one coupling design is encircled by compressible material in the form of two flat pieces of foam plastic. The bar passes through a hole in the web of slightly larger diameter than that of the bar. This hole has tongue-like projections near to its circumference which rest against the bar. The bar is able to swivel about an axis in the hole whereby the degree of such freedom depends on the play which the hole provides relative to the outer diameter of the bar. The bar is also able to rotate in the hole. This design of fastening facilitates moving the facing panel relative to the supporting construction e.g. the wall. |
