In a vehicle having an engine-transmission unit M a support 1 is formed integrally with, bolted to, or resiliently mounted on the engine casing in such a position that a space wheel R, radiator, battery or other accessory rigidly fixed to the support causes the centre of gravity G of the assembly to lie in the plane containing the cylinder axes. The transmission d is shown to one side of the engine e and abutments 6, 7 prevent excess vibration. The engine may be mounted with its cylinders horizontal and the accessory mounted about it to act as a damper to absorb vibrations. |
