The invention presents a flexible plastic sheet comprising a large number of ribs of a first direction (Y1, Y2 ...) which each have mutually opposite sides (12, 13) extending in the first direction (Y) and bent downwards, and a large number of ribs of a second direction (X1, X2 ...) which each have mutually opposite sides (14, 15) extending in the second direction (X) and bent downwards. The sheet is continuous in a surface surrounding each pair of adjacent ribs of a first direction and each pair of adjacent ribs of a second direction which cross the pair of adjacent ribs of a first direction. At each crossing point (C1, C2, C3, C4) one of the ribs is arched upwards and the opposite side edges of this rib are connected to the upper side of the other rib. Features of the plastic sheet according to this invention are less gloss and less tacky handle, and the sheet is preferably used as a liquid-impermeable outer layer of a disposable hygienic article to be worn on the body. <IMAGE> |
