A hydraulically damped bearing, for mounting a suspension control arm or a vehicle sub-frame, consists of an outer bearing sleeve 10, an inner bearing sleeve 12 and, between them, an elastomeric insert 14 vulcanised onto the outer bearing sleeve 10, the hydraulic damping being brought about by two diametrically opposed outwardly sealed chambers 26, 28 filled with a damping medium and bounded by the inner bearing sleeve 12 and the insert 14 and connected to each other via a throttle passage (30, 41). The inner bearing sleeve 12 is inserted in sealing-tight fashion into an intermediate tube 16 and is axially fixed therein, the intermediate tube 16 being also vulcanised onto the elastomeric insert 14. <IMAGE> |
