PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption at a terminal station by stopping power source supply to the controller of the terminal station when all telephone subscribers are not busy and supplying the power source only when any tele phone subscribers perform communication. CONSTITUTION:While the subscriber of a telephone set 11 of a telephone exchange 10 and the subscriber of a telephone set 58 of a terminal station 50 are communicating, a power source control circuit 57 supplies the power source to a controller 53. Then, when the communication is ended, a master station 30 sends communication completion information to the terminal station 50, the control circuit 53 of the terminal station 50 detects the communication completion information, releases a speech path by a speech path switch 54 and sends the request for stopping a power source supply to the circuit 57. Then, the circuit 57 stops the power source supply to the controller 53. Thus, the power consumption of the terminal station 50 can be reduced by stopping the power source supply of the terminal station 50 to the controller 53 when all telephone subscribers included in the terminal station 50 are not busy and supplying the power source only when any telephone subscribers perform the communication. |
