METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF POWDER MATELLURGY PRODUCTS

This method finds application in powder metallurgy for the manufacture of structural components for electric cars and engine trucks, internal combustion engines, tractors and motor vehicles. Improved hardness, density and tensile strength characteristics can be achieved by this method. The method involves pressing, sintering and cold after-pressing of the products with a treatment carried out after sintering to produce a 7-15 mkm thick phosphate layer and another treatment carried out prior to after-pressing involving applying a coating of soap, stearate, graphite or sulphide oil.
