PURPOSE:To shorten time required for remote initial program loading as much as possible, and to shorten the starting time of an information processing system in respect of an initial program loading system in the information processing system provided with a master processor and plural slave processors. CONSTITUTION:Each slave processor 200 is provided with a nonvolatile storage means 201 which stores a program P to be loaded to the slave processor, and an initial program load setting means 202 which loads the program transferred from the master processor to its own processor and simultaneously, stores it in the nonvolatile storage means in the case that the loading request of the program is issued to the slave processor while the program is not yet stored in the non-volatile storage means, and in the case that the loading request is issued while the program is stored in the non-volatile storage means, loads the program stored in the non-volatile storage means to its own processor.
