This invention concerns data holding method, in which the inputted data is held while other inputs are ignored during remote control. This system provides a mean to hold data when a special key is pressed on a remote control device or a key-matrix. This invention is composed of a hold key input judging level which determines whether the pressed key is a hold key, a holding action level which nullifies other keys when the hold key is pressed and displays the holding status to the user, and a holding termination level in which the held key indicator is erased when another hold key is pressed and goes on to normal mode. |
