摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the positional drift between a substrate and a partition plate at the time of assembly by providing fixing sections at least at two positions nearly symmetrical from the center of gravity of the partition plate on the outside of a screen with the partition plate made of a porous metal plate. CONSTITUTION:The Figure is the plan view sketch of a plasma display panel. A partition plate 3 is sandwiched by a front glass 1 and a back plate 2 (substrate) above and below. A frame section is formed at the periphery of the partition plate 3, and fixing sections are provided on the frame section at least at two positions (an example of eight small-hole positions of A-D is shown in the Figure) with the coincident center of gravity. Notch recesses capable of storing an adhesive are formed at the fixing sections of the partition plate 3. Recesses are also formed at the fixing sections of the substrate 2. The adhesive is filled by pressure into these recesses at the time of heating, thus the partition plate 3 and the substrate 2 can be fixed while the positional drift is prevented until they are cooled even if the thermal expansion coefficients of the partition plate 3 and the substrate 2 slightly differ or there is temperature distribution in the thermal process. A high-precision plasma display can be manufactured in this method, and it can be simply assembled.
