PURPOSE:To specify may kinds of timbre with a small number of timbre switches. CONSTITUTION:The ON/OFF operation states of a group-A timbre specification switch group A and a group-B timbre specifying switch group B are detected and latched by a switch detecting and latching circuit 2, and a priority circuit 3 makes only one switch-ON state each in the switch groups A and B effective. A timbre specification information generating circuit 8 generates timbre specification information corresponding to only one switch group which is turned ON when only the switch group is turned ON or timbre specification information corresponding to the combination of switches of both the switch groups when the switches are both turned ON. |
