PURPOSE:To provide the client/server-type filing system which can prevent private information from flowing to the outside by limiting the copy of files. CONSTITUTION:When the security information of a user is stored in the file of a server system 1 and the operation information of the user is reported from a client system 2 through a network 3 to the server system, and as right information corresponding to that information, the attribute information of a file attribute managing table 4 is reported from the server to the client system. The right information received from the server is stored in a memory attribute managing table 5 and the file operation of the user is limited so as to permit the copy of the file provided with a DUPLICATE attribute and to inhibit the copy of the file provided with only a READ attribute while referring to the right information stored in the memory attribute managing table 5. |
