PURPOSE:To provide a new image forming method having high sensitivity, being excellent in image quality, needing no liquid development, having simple and small-size structure, and being capable of forming an image, using laser having a long wave length of visible light or more, particularly semiconductor laser having the wave length in near infrared light. CONSTITUTION:In an image forming method using an image forming material where at least photosensitive layers 2a-2d and a cover film are laminated in this order on a base body 1, a photosensitive composition contains at least a compound capable of addition-polymerizing or cross linking and a borate complex of a cationic dye, and laser beam scan the image forming material so as to expose an image. Thereafter the image is formed on the base body 1 or the color film by utilizing the difference of adhesive strength between an exposed portion and an unexposed portion to the base body 1 and the cover film when the cover film is peeled off. |
