<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a PTC resistance element of a higher sintered density at a lower sintering temperature. CONSTITUTION:(V1-xCrx)2O3 (where, 0<=x<=0.015) is calcined at a temperature of 1100 deg.C or above. Fe-Ni alloy is added as a sintering assistant to the calcined body. The resultant mixture is fired at a temperature of 1480 deg.C or above to manufacture a PTC resistance element. It is preferable that the Ni content in the Fe-Ni alloy is 10% or more and the quantity of Fe-Ni alloy added is 2.5-25wt.%.</p> |
