The shield (1) is made of two parts, a decorative surround made of a plastics material (2) and the other of an alloy (3). The alloy shield is either monobloc or of several parts joined in perfect contact, cold soldered with silver or similar to allow continuous conductivity. The image filter is non-reflecting and is inserted between the plastic material and the alloy shield. The electricity conducting medium is of a metallic alloy with high magnetic permeability. An earth (5) removes the electrical charge to ground. USE - Protection against electromagnetic fields emitted by CRTs.
