PURPOSE:To obtain alloy powder having excellent magnetic characteristics by melting an Fe-B-R group alloy and quenching the melted alloy at speed, where a composite texture, which is composed of a fine crystalline substance having coercive force of a specific value or less at room temperature and specific particle size or less, in which main phase consists of a tetragonal compound and which has magnetic anisotropy, is formed. CONSTITUTION:An alloy mainly comprising 8-30at.% R (R represents at least one kind of rare earth elements containing Y), 2-28at.% B, and 42-90at.% Fe is melted, and quenched at speed, where a composite texture, which consists of a fine crystalline substance having coercive force of 12kOe or more in room temperature and particle size of 5.0mum or less, in which main phase is made up of a tetragonal compound and which has magnetic anisotropy, is at least formed. Accordingly, a permanent magnet material acquired only composed of alloy powder and has excellent magnetic characteristics, and can also be applied to a bonded magnet and a sintered magnet, and the permanent magnet material displaying the superior temperature characteristics of residual flux density can be obtained at low cost. |
