PURPOSE:To obtain a display device which can achieve high gradation display without depending on numbers of frame constituting one screen. CONSTITUTION:This device comprises LEDs arranged in a matrix shape, a arithmetic circuit 21 and a pulse generating circuit 22 which convert display data driving and controlling each LED to the continuous lighting time which is set in a ratio corresponding to display data per scanning time of one line, and a driver circuit which drives and controls each LED in accordance with the lighting time obtained from these circuits 21 and 22.
