The refrigerator cabinet is formed from a rigid frame (1) generally defining the contour of the cabinet. The operational components (5,6,7,8) of a refrigerator are fixed to the frame.An enclosure of thermally insulating panels is fitted onto the frame. The panels are preferably multiple independent panels removably fitted to the frame. A removable internal frame is fitted to the main frame to support the internal shelves.
