PURPOSE:To provide a table index processor capable of deleting irregularly arranged unused areas from a table in respect to the code conversion processing of a computer. CONSTITUTION:The table index processor for indexing a value determined by an index when plural unused areas in each of which the fixed number of continued values are not used are included in an continued area of index values, is provided with a table 10, a index correcting part 11 and an index processing part 12, the table 10 is so constituted that values determined by indexes existing other than the unused areas are arranged continuously in the descending order of index values. The correcting part 11 corrects the value of a required index by the lengths of respective unused areas and the appearance interval of the unused areas, and the processing part 12 outputs a value read out by the corrected index by referring to the table 10 as the index value of the required index. |
