PURPOSE:To smoothly execute the ticket examination of a railroad or a bus or the settlement of accounts of a fare on a toll road by comparing ID information transmitted from an IC card in response to the transmission of a command to the IC card with the collation information of a master side memory, and giving the instruction of the permission of passing to a gate means in the case of coincidence. CONSTITUTION:When an external master device 2 recognizes the start of use or the finish of use of a vehicle carrying the IC card 1 or a user carrying the IC card 1, a master side control part 2a transmits the command to the IC card 1. At the IC card 1 having received the command, a transmission-reception control means 1b transmits the ID information stored in a slave side memory 1a to the external master device 2 through a transmitting/receiving means 1c. Then, at the external master device 2 having received the ID information, the master side control part 2a compares the ID information with the collation information registered in the master side memory 2b, and when both coincide with each other the instruction of the permission of the passing is given to the gate means 2c. Besides, a counter 5e is provided so that the number of user vehiles and the number of the users are managed. |
