PURPOSE:To reduce a loss time, and to improve the productivity of component mounting apparatus by specifying a position that is closest to a center position among the N-number of component mounting positions as a first component mounting position, and by deciding a position that is nearest to the end of a chain as a next component mounting position when the chain between the rest of components is established. CONSTITUTION:When components are mounted at five points (marked with X), a position that is closest to the center should preferably be specified as a first component mounting position A. Then, a point B that is nearest to this point A is specified, and a chain AB is established. Points Y and X that are closest to the points A and B serving as the ends of the chain are selected, and a distance AY and a distance BX are compared with each other. When AY>BX, the point X is selected as a next end of the chain and the chain is extended so as to be CBA. Distance between a point Y and the points A and C that act as the ends of the chain after the extension of the chain is compared with each other. When AY<CY, the point Y is determined as the end of the chain extending from the point A, and hence a chain CBADE is obtained in the same manner. A mounting apparatus is controlled such that it mounts components following the order of this chain. |
