The timing gear has a control shaft with eccentric discs and connecting rods. The control shaft actuates piston head valves via spring-mounted legs. The valves are suspended from above in the cylinder head, and tightly close the valve openings. The legs, when in extended position, apply a more than sufficient pressure on the valve seat. The control shaft rotates at one-and-a-half times or double the crank shaft RPM. The valve timing is determined via flattened cams with half the crank shaft rotation and a preset driver element, or electromagnet. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple control mechanism with new-type valve construction for IC engine.
