The closure device is a flap (3) which folds downwards to open the outlet aperture, which has a closure sheet (1b) which is suitable for covering the outlet aperture in the closed position. To open and form the outlet aperture a movable tube cover section of the conveyor tube (1) is formed. As closure cover (1b) the tube cover section is formed by means of two cross dividing surface sections limiting the end side of a tube section and guided from below to the horizontal longitudinal middle plane (2) of the conveyor tube (1). These dividing surface sections are so formed that the tube cover section has the shape of half of a longitudinally halved hollow cylinder. USE/ADVANTAGE - Conveyed material issue area of tube chain conveyor which is functionally reliable.
