Dust separator with reversal of main flow direction - has swirl support held on cyclone, collector, or intermediate component in swivelling and/or foldable manner

The separator consists of at least one cyclone (10) behind which is mounted a collection (11) for separated particles, and a swirl support (12) in transition region between the cyclone and collector for centring the swirl. The swirl support is so secured to the cyclone, collector or intermediate component (10A) that it can swivel and/or be folded. In its working position it is coaxial to the cyclone, while in its rest position it releases the cyclone outlet aperture. USE/ADVANTAGE - For paint powder recovery in painting installation, with increased swirl centring, and easy maintenance.
