Plastics cage for ball- or roller-bearing - incorporates reinforcing strips and little rollers centering cage w.r.t. outer bearing race

The cage is for a radial ball or roller bearing. It guides and separates the bearing balls (3') and incorporates a cage body (4) made of plastics, and fitted with little guide rollers (5). These rollers have bearing stub axles (6) running in tubes or bushes in the cage body. There are reinforcing strips (7) on the ID of the cage body on either side of the balls and inside the little rollers (5) which bear against the outer bearing race. The strips are made of different material to the cage body, with different thermal and elastic properties. USE - Cage for roller- or ball-bearing.
