The tube chain conveyor has a component guided in a conveyor tube with a conveyor path, and a diversion area which diverts the conveyor component through an angle of approximately 90 deg. The diversion area has at least one diverting component (4a,4b), pref. a chain wheel, for diversion of the conveyor component (1). There are conveyor path sections before and after the diversion area which bridge over the diversion area providing a shortened delivery path. The diversion plane of the conveyor component (1) in the diversion area deviates from the horizontal and the shortened delivery path allows material to fall through. The shortened delivery path is formed as a slide (5) to which the conveyor tube (3) is open after the diversion area. USE/ADVANTAGE - Tube chain conveyor in which movement of conveyor component through diversion area occurs with no problem.
