The razor cutting head is supported from the razor housing via a pair of carrier arms (10) and has a cutting head frame (21) and upper and lower cutting blades. The carrier arms and the cutting head frame are made of plastics, each carrier arm having a threaded metal bearing element (80) receiving a bearing screw (11) of the cutting head frame allowing its pivot movement. A spring element (83) acts between the head of each bearing screw and the cutting head frame. Pref. the end face (88) of the metal bearing element projects from the wall of the carrier arm in the direction of the cutting head frame. ADVANTAGE - Reduced weight and mfg. cost.
